1. Who operates this app

App Uninstaller: Clean Apps (the "App") is developed and operated by Utility Nest ("we", "us", "our"). For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we act as the data controller for the processing described in this policy.

2. What this app does, in brief

The App helps you see which apps are installed on your Android device so you can review them and remove the ones you no longer need, using Android's own official uninstall flow. The App does not claim to remove viruses or malware, "boost" your phone's speed, clean RAM, silently or forcibly uninstall anything without your confirmation, or guarantee an exact amount of storage recovered — every uninstall requires your explicit, individual confirmation in Android's system dialog.

3. Data processed on your device (and never uploaded)

To do its job, the App reads information about the apps installed on your device directly from Android's package manager. This includes, for each installed app:

App name, package identifier, version, and icon
Installed / last-updated timestamps
Storage size (app, data, and cache size)
Last-used date and foreground usage time — only if you separately grant "Usage Access" in Android system settings; the App works without it, with reduced detail

This inventory is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded to us or to any server. App icons are cached locally in the App's private cache folder on your device and are deleted if you clear the App's cache or uninstall the App. We do not build a profile of which apps you have installed, and we do not sell, rent, or share this inventory with anyone.

4. Permissions we request, and why

Permission Purpose
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES Core functionality: lets the App list the full inventory of installed apps so you can browse, search, filter, and select apps to remove. Without it, the App could not show apps you haven't personally opened.
REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES Lets the App launch Android's own uninstall confirmation dialog for a selected app. Android — not the App — always asks you to confirm each removal individually; the App cannot uninstall anything silently.
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS Optional. Only active once you grant "Usage Access" in Android Settings. Lets the App show when an app was last used and more detailed per-app storage figures, to help you spot apps you no longer use.
INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE Needed by the advertising, analytics, and subscription-management components described below (the App's core app-listing feature itself does not require network access).
AD_ID (Advertising ID) Used by Google's advertising SDK for ad delivery and, where you have consented, ad personalization and measurement. See Advertising below.

We do not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, call logs, external file storage beyond what the operating system exposes to any app, an accessibility service, device administrator privileges, or a VPN/proxy.

5. Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand basic, aggregate usage of the App (for example, how many people open the App, and standard automatically-collected technical events such as app opens, sessions, and app updates). Firebase may collect standard technical identifiers (such as an app instance identifier and general device/OS information) as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

Separately, the App also prepares its own lightweight, in-app product analytics (for example: how many apps were found, selected, removed, skipped, or failed during a cleanup; which filter or sort option was used). These events are deliberately restricted to aggregate counts and category labels only — package names, app names, app icons, and per-app usage history are never included in any analytics event, by design.

6. Advertising

The free version of the App shows ads served through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). If you subscribe to the paid "Pro" tier, ads are turned off entirely.

Where required by law (for example, for users in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland), the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent before loading personalized ads, in line with the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework. You can decline personalized ads and still see (non-personalized) advertising; you can also change your ad-personalization choice at any time in your device's Google Settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID and other technical identifiers to select, deliver, and measure ads, and, if you have consented, to personalize them. See Google's ad policy for more detail on how Google's advertising products handle data.

7. Subscriptions & payments

The App offers an optional, auto-renewing weekly subscription ("Pro") with a free trial, which removes ads and unlocks additional features (such as unlimited batch uninstall, the Unused Apps and Large Apps scanners, and advanced sorting). All payments are processed by Google Play Billing; we never see or store your payment card details. Subscription status and entitlement checks are handled through RevenueCat, a subscription-management service that receives your purchase/subscription receipt from Google Play and an anonymous app-user identifier — not your name, email, or payment details — to tell the App whether your subscription is active.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the consent-gated ad personalization described above.

9. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

Legitimate interest — aggregate, non-identifying product analytics used to keep the App working well and to understand feature usage.
Consent — personalized advertising for users in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, gathered via the in-app consent prompt; you may withdraw this consent at any time.
Performance of a contract — processing your subscription purchase and entitlement status so the Pro features you paid for actually unlock.

10. Data retention

Your settings, uninstall history, and app-selection state are stored locally on your device only (using on-device storage), and are deleted automatically if you clear the App's data or uninstall the App. We do not keep a server-side copy of this information. Aggregate analytics events sent to Firebase are retained by Google according to Firebase's own default retention settings.

11. Your rights under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (or another jurisdiction with similar data-protection law), you have the right to:

Access the personal data we (or our sub-processors) hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten")
Restrict or object to certain processing
Receive your data in a portable format
Withdraw consent at any time (for example, for ad personalization), without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority

12. International data transfers

Google (Firebase, AdMob, Play Billing) and RevenueCat may process and store data on servers located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision.

13. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

14. Security

Because the installed-app inventory never leaves your device, its confidentiality depends primarily on your own device security. We take reasonable technical measures to protect the limited, aggregate analytics data that is transmitted, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
